Weâve been talking a lot about how TV shows and films smuggle spells in plain sightâCharmed circles, The Craftâs initiation, Agathaâs hexes.
That was todayâs Mourning Coffee.
But letâs bend the signal sideways. Because the Law of Assumption isnât just hiding in scripts or screensâitâs wired into your speakers. Every beat, every lyric, every loop youâve ever lost yourself to has been teaching you what to assume.
Hereâs the truth: you donât just listen to musicâyou assume it.
Metal tells you rage is fuel. You stomp, you scream, you lift the weight of the worldâand suddenly your body believes itâs unstoppable.
Industrial turns chaos into rhythm. Machines glitch, basslines grind, and you find yourself assuming structure can be bent until it breaks.
Healing frequencies (528hz, 432hz, ambient tones) remind your nervous system of something Fear doesnât want you to know: peace isnât a reward, itâs a baseline.
Every song is an assumption waiting to be absorbed. Repetition makes it true. Chants make it spellwork. And the more people play itâthe stronger the broadcast.
But hereâs the key: you can flip the script.
If a song tells you the world is broken, recognize it for what it isâthe assumption they want you to hold. You can reframe it, assume the opposite, and watch your world shift.
For a while, I was literally singing over songsâwriting the refrains I wished someone else had made. I added words filled with love and divine energy, replacing their curse with my spell. You can do the same. The world is yours to create. Just donât force your definition on the manifestationâlet nature shape the interpretation.

Thatâs why music is more than moodâitâs magic. The Law of Assumption says that what you accept as true becomes real. When millions scream a chorus in unison, the assumption becomes collective. When you loop the same track on repeat, youâre binding yourself to that frequency.
TV shows use visuals to smuggle spells. Music uses sound. Both workâbut music hits faster, deeper, and with no escape.
And maybe thatâs why I became a fanfiction writer. I wanted to flip the scriptânot just in songs, but in stories. To take broken worlds and remake them. To write characters who heal, rebel, and remember sovereignty when the original narrative tried to strip it a way. Thatâs what fanfiction is at its core: an act of magical rebellion. A refusal to accept the story as it was given, and the courage to write it into something better.

At Dark Star Radio, weâre not just spinning tracksâweâre shaping frequencies into worlds.
Mourning Coffee digs into the myths behind the media, but the music? Thatâs where assumptions take root.
Today we tore open TV Magic & the Spells We Didnât See. Tomorrow, weâll keep tearing.
Because once you know how assumption works, you stop being the audience. You start being the spellcaster.
