Our Mission
Dark Star Radio exists to give independent artists a signal.
Since December 5, 2014, Dark Star Radio has been building a home for underground music, alternative voices, and the artists who deserve to be heard. Mainstream radio often overlooks emerging bands, independent labels, and experimental sounds. Dark Star Radio was created to change that.
Our mission is simple: help indie artists be heard while supporting the underground community that keeps this music alive.

Community & Culture
Dark Star Radio is about more than broadcasting music.
It is about building community, supporting underground culture, and creating space for artists and listeners to connect in meaningful ways. We believe music can do more than entertain. It can bring people together, amplify important voices, and help support causes that matter.
That is why Dark Star Radio also takes part in charity events, awareness campaigns, community-centered programming, and fundraising efforts whenever possible. We want to use this platform not only to spotlight independent artists, but to give back to the communities that keep underground culture alive.

Meet the Founder
Dark Star Radio was founded by Jessika Darkstar.
Jessika is a DJ, storyteller, singer, and creator dedicated to building a platform where independent artists can be heard without needing mainstream approval. Through shows like Mourning Coffee—at Noon—Villains Brew Edition and Sinwave Rave: Godless Frequeny, Jessika blends music, personality, and atmosphere into broadcasts designed to connect artists with audiences.
Jessika is also currently attending Full Sail University, working toward a Master’s degree in Entertainment Business while continuing to grow Dark Star Radio.
